Planned Giving

Deferred Gifts: Charitable remainder trusts, lead trusts, and charitable gift annuities are types of deferred gifts that can provide income to you during the course of your life, or to someone you name. You may also make planned gifts by naming the Foundation as beneficiary of Individual Retirement Account assets, transferring a life insurance policy to the Foundation (making premium payments tax-deductible), or donating retained real estate as a future gift while using the property throughout your lifetime. The Foundation is happy to work with you and your estate planner to discuss planned gift options.

Bequests: Donors can include the Foundation in their will for a bequest of a specific amount or percentage of the residue. Bequests can be unrestricted or designated for a special field of interest. The Foundation will use income from the fund in perpetuity as specified by the donor. You can save estate taxes and ensure that the charitable work you care about will continue.

Please contact Bob Hurlbut, Executive Director, or Kathy Fitzgerald, Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives, or call them at 617-576-9966 to receive additional information about the Foundation and specific ways to contribute that will best meet your personal charitable goals.
